My friend Alex is going to Uganda to help build a school with the Ogilvy Many Hands team, she is holding an art's exhibition to help raise money for the school and her trip, each participant has to enter a postcard size piece of art, which will be auctioned. I decided to do a lino print - which is inspired by African Textiles I feel using this kind of printing adds a natural earthy, hands on feel, the little cracks and imperfect imprints, make it all the more authentic. Wouldn't it make a great textile with these sun bleached muddy tones.
